As Christians, we're called to respond with love and compassion, especially in times of crisis. Jesus taught us to care for the vulnerable, saying, “Whatever you did for one of the least of these, you did for me.” (Matthew 25:40)

  • The Church is the body of Christ, and when one part suffers, we all do (1 Corinthians 12:26).

  • Helping those in need reflects God’s grace and builds His kingdom.

  • Disaster victims in Western North Carolina are our neighbors, and we are called to love them as ourselves (Mark 12:31).

  • Let's act in love, and share the hope and mercy we've received.

Go Serve

We are planning several trips to help our neighbors and family. Urgent needs include stripping floors, removing furniture, sheetrock, and insulation in flooded houses, and spraying anti-fungal spray on exposed framing.

  • We will coordinate with Samaritans Purse, to effectively reach the hardest hit areas.

  • Our first trip is scheduled for Monday, October 7th.

  • A second trip will be the weekend of October 12th.

  • We are considering both day trips and a 3-day trip, depending on the level of interest.

  • To join us, please sign up using the form linked to the button below.

    • Specific details will be sent to those who sign up.

  • Awake Church will receive donations on Sundays from 9:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. (Visit the Welcome Center and ask for Nicole Johnson.)
