The Gift of Troubles

Those that have gone before us experienced trials and hardships that are rarely found in our western culture today, yet Jesus and other New Testament writers share with us that the fiery trials, the difficulties and hardships that we all face are actually remarkable gifts and opportunities. It's important for us to interpret our troubles rightly.  Fiery trials produce gold and those who overcome are rewarded with treasures by Jesus personally - treasures that are beyond our imagination.  We were born to go through trouble, to wrestle and struggle with difficult things with joy.  The kind of joy that Jesus had as He kept His eyes on the prize that awaited Him.
